After the beams, had to construct new tenderhouse

New float: Logs with steel I-beams, with 2x6 nailer bolted on. I had this built off site and towed in by a contractor, because I couldn't figure out a feasible way to do it here myself.

Next a drive to Seattle to get foam billets used for reserve floation. (Not much floation from the steel I-beams if the logs submerge).

The lumber and other supplies got delivered on a barge right after we got back home with the foam.

Installing the floor joists over the floam billets.

   All the joists in place.

Diver installs more foam billets under the logs to add floation before I incorporate the several tons of materials on the barge into the structure.

The first two walls go up on top of the subflooring.

After the walls, then the roof trusses.

   Then the roof sheathing.

Monika keeps pace with the painting .

Got the roof covered just before the rain started. (I have a bandage on my head from the second accident where I stepped on a loose board and if flipped up and hit me in the head. Hard part of working on a floating structure is the lack of a place to stand while you build!
