Adding the outer layers of mesh. Three layers are stretched in place with a block and tackle. The layers are offset 3 inches. We started tying it in place in the middle working towards the ends. Darts are cut in the layers to get it to lay to the shape of the hull, keeping the darts in the different layers at least 3 inches away from each other. I.e.; there should always be at least 2 unbroken layers of mesh throughout the whole surface. (This photo was probably summer of 1977) (next)
