Seven Hills Loop down to Lake Mead

Las Vegas Blvd. I

Through Seven Hills to Lake Mead Drive (SR164). Turn left.
To Las Vegas Blvd. Turn right.

Las Vegas Blvd II

Seven Hills to Lake Mead. Turn left. Lake Mead to Las Vegas Blvd. Turn right. Las Vegas Blvd to Belz Stores, public restroom at Pointe Plaza mall on left, windy day


Red Rock I

8000 Blk W Charleston to Red Rock Canyon Overlook

Red Rock II

From intersection of SR160 and Rainbow head north on SR160, turn onto SR159 and go to Red Rock Visitor's Center. All uphill with head wind as usual. It's quite cold at the visitor center.

Red Rock III

From intersection of Rainbow and Charleston to Red Rock Canyon. Did Red Rock Loop, turned right onto SR159 and went to Bonnie Springs State Park and back on SR159 to Red Rock Overlook. Perfect day, no wind.


Lake Mead I

Reserve Casino & Lake Mead to Lake Mead Boat Ramp, good road w. shoulder except for 3.6 miles at mile 11 w/o shoulder.

Lake Mead II

Lake Mead & Boulder toward Lake Mead, turn onto SR41, bad road for 4 miles, wide shldr but with grates, incredible massage, not too much traffic though, road got better after 1 mile on SR147. Got as far as ??? wash and boat launch.

Lake Mead III

Calico Basin Development on SR146 (Lake Mead) to SR95 (4 miles from Hoover Dam). Restrooms at Las Vegas Boat launch and Boulder Campground.

Lake Mead IV

Overton Beach to Echo Bay. Chip-seal road, no shoulder, cracked road, little traffic. Restrooms at Overton Beach and Echo Bay. Nice slightly hilly ride.


Valley of Fire I

West Entrant to Visitors Center to White Domes. Quite hilly, no shoulder, not too much traffic. Great scenery.

Las Vegas I

Sandy Ridge to Easter to Lake Mead, right on Lake Mead to Pecos, find bike trail following I215 to Warm Springs. Right on Warms Springs to Arrojo Grande to Wigwam to Pecos to Lake Mead, Seven Hills to House. Good shoulder most of the way, seperate bike path is neat.

San Diego

Grand Ave to Beach. Follow bike route to La Jolla Cove. Roads are marked with bike signs but not a lot of designated bike lanes.


Jean I

From intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Lake Mead head south on SR604 for about 7 miles. All uphill. Good shoulder with narrow deeply groved area next to the white line. Not too much traffic but wind picked up.

Jean II

Seven Hills to Las Vegas Blvd. Turn left onto SR604 to Jean. Steady climb for about 8 miles, then steady down hill for 7 miles. Great Ride, wind from behind on way back.

Goodsprings

SR 161 from Jean to Goodspring. Gave up after 6 miles, slight uphill and very windy. Strong cross wind on way back. Monika got blown off road. Dan crashed early on in Seven Hills cornering on wet pavement.
