2009 Labor-day trip to Astoria

We made a six day trip to Astoria and back again over the labor-day weekend, which was the only chance M had to get away from school. We had sunny weather on the way down but rain much of the trip back. Monika really appreciated the galley being mostly complete and the chart table installed.

Galley drawers

The propane stove works better than the electric one in our house.

Cook in the galley

Raw water footpump to separate spigot on the sinks helped us preserve freshwater supply this year.

  lighted galley cupboards on Seafalcon

Lights in the galley cupboards allow you to see through the tinted plexiglass doors without opening them.

Columbia river near astoria

Approaching Astoria. You can see the sail for the dingy rolled around its mast on the forward cabin top. This is alas still the only mast and sail we have.

Anchored near Cathlamet

Rowing ashore from where we are anchored, near Cathlamet. Since it was labor-day there was a big parting going on in the marina. We prefer it outside where its quieter.
